Muscle & Fitness/Hers, May, 2004 by Shawna Fields

I just received the March 2004 issue of HERS and read the entire thing from cover to cover. I was very pleased to see that you mentioned a Brazilian martial art called Capoeira in Newsfront ["The Hits Parade"]. I am a Professora in this art and have been training for 10 years. I train in the gym lifting weights and doing cardio four days a week to bring balance to my physique and give me a great foundation for my Capoeira game. I train three nights a week at the Capoeira academy, and a lot of what I've learned on how to train and eat for nutritional support has been from your magazine. It's only a matter of time before Capoeira becomes as commonly known an art as karate.
